OLAY

Counselling – OLAY

To reach end consumers and to promote OLAY products, P&G in association with BGDPL launched the Counselling program. The various highlights are noted below:

  • Starting on the 7th August 2007 with 2 Team Leaders (TL) & 14 Beauty Counsellors (BC), we covered 14 stores in Kolkata & 24 Paraganas (North & South).
  • Year 2010 – Number of stores increased to 25 with 25 BCs, 2 TLs & 1 BM (Business Manager).
  • Year 2011- Number of Stores was 28 & number of BCs was 30 with 3 TLs & 1 BM & 1 HR (Human Resources), 1 Trainer
  • Year 2016 – We took over the Rest of Bengal territory & increased our presence to 48 stores with 53 BCs, 7 TLs & 2 Trainers
  • Year 2019 – We have the highest ever presence for any Company with 53 stores having counselling done by 60 BCs along with 6 TLs, 1 BM, 3 Trainers.
Counselling – Others Brands

We started counselling for various other brands like Gillette/Pampers/Whisper/Venus/Ambipur from 1st July 2017 with 12 BCs & 1 TL.

In 2019, we started having presence in greater number of stores & we now have separate Counsellors in most large counters for individual brands.

In February 2020, Ariel brand is included with 5 counsellors in 5 stores.

Activities

Occasionally arranged Olay activities like free Skin Analysis in different stores like South City Spencer’s, Quest Spencer’s, Metro C & C (DC-60), H & G (Health & Glow Store) etc. We did complete consultation of the consumer’s skin & resolved their concern by showing videos & images on TABs & recommend regimen. Consumers can experience the products through Tester available with the BCs while being explained about product benefits.

Recently in 2019, during Durga Puja, we arranged an Olay Free Skin Analysis activity at Health & Glow store in DCN Mall.

Tele Skin Consultation Service

During COVID-19 Lockdown, from mid of April 2020, we started Olay Tele Skin Consultation.

Done free counselling over phone call & video call and let the interested customer purchased from our online store – pgshop.in. We also helped local customers to purchase from stores those who are not able to come to the shop or purchase from online. 

We delivered ordered products at local stores to customer house through our supply chain team.

MR

The MR team kicked off with a small team in 2008. At that time there were only 4 accounts working with us.

The accounts were:

  • Big Bazaar – Supply to 5 store with business of 64 lakhs
  • Spencers’ – 10 stores (hyper & super) doing business of 45 lakhs
  • Apollo – 100 stores with a business of 10 lakhs
  • Aditya Birla Retail – 12 stores with a business of 12 lakhs

Total 15 merchandiser working with us was at that time bringing in monthly business of 1cr 30 lakhs.

 

Now after 12 years, we are doing business with almost 12 accounts

  • Big Bazaar – Around 33 stores doing monthly business of 3 crores
  • Spencers’ – 43 (hyper and super) stores  with business 2.30 crores
  • Apollo Pharmacy – 350 stores with a business 1.50 crores
  • Aditya Birla Retail – 65 stores with business 75 lakhs
  • Reliance Retail and Reliance Cash & Carry – 40 store with business of 1.5 crores
  • Metro Cash & Carry – Delivered monthly business of 80 lakhs
  • Medplus – Delivered monthly business of 40 lakhs
  • Vishal Mega Mart – Delivered monthly business of 35 lakhs
  • Arambagh Foodmart – Delivered monthly business of 16 lakhs
  • Frank Ross Pharmacy – Delivered monthly business of 15 lakhs
